Today, on 6 June, the premiere of the feature film “VARVARA,” produced by Sergiu Cumatrenco and directed by Anatol Durbal\u0103, will take place. The film has been produced with the support of several development partners, including the European Union and the United Nations Development Programme.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The premiere of the film “VARVARA” will be held at the Presidency of the Republic of Moldova. From 7 June, the production will be screened in cinemas across the country.<\/a> The film is also scheduled to be presented in Tiraspol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2020, the producers of the film “VARVARA” received a grant of over \u20ac35,000 within the framework of the EU “Confidence Building Measures” Programme, implemented by UNDP. The filming took place during 2021-2022 and the cast includes over 30 actors, including six from the left bank of the Nistru river. The production team consisted of professionals from both banks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The feature film “VARVARA” focuses on Sa\u0219a, an ordinary plumber, who is struggling to live an honest life and the film revolves around the important choices the protagonist must make.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Confidence Building Measures Programme, financed by the European Union and implemented by UNDP, contributes to the strengthening of trust between the inhabitants of both banks of the Nistru river, by involving them in joint development projects.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
