{"id":117545,"date":"2024-03-19T13:14:24","date_gmt":"2024-03-19T11:14:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/?p=117545"},"modified":"2024-03-19T16:52:56","modified_gmt":"2024-03-19T14:52:56","slug":"support-for-the-media-and-building-public-resilience-to-disinformation-for-the-republic-of-moldova","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/en\/support-for-the-media-and-building-public-resilience-to-disinformation-for-the-republic-of-moldova\/","title":{"rendered":"Support for the media and building public resilience to disinformation for the Republic of Moldova"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The&nbsp;global objective&nbsp;of this call for proposals is to contribute to the reforms in the area of media and to the public resilience to disinformation&nbsp;in line with the EU&nbsp;<em>acquis<\/em>&nbsp;and ILO standards.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>specific objectives&nbsp;<\/strong>of this call for proposals are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Lot 1<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 To support independent and free media in Moldova<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>priorities<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>for<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>Lot 1&nbsp;<\/strong>are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide grant funding for media civil society organisations to mobilise technical expertise for coaching and mentoring of journalists, conduct trainings, procurement of technical equipment and software, including sub granting to local and national media, individual online activists such as bloggers, vloggers, but not limited to;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Produce quality content (campaigns, materials) on the EU integration&nbsp; and EU assistance;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve gender sensitivity of reporting, notably making sure that media reporting is free from gender stereotypes;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Each proposal under Lot 1 needs to address all three priorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Lot 2<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 To support the public resilience to disinformation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>priorities for Lot 2<\/strong>&nbsp;are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conduct media literacy campaigns and initiatives to build public resilience to disinformation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cooperate with relevant state institutions, such as Audiovisual Council, Center for Strategic Communication and Combatting Disinformation and the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) to support communication activities such as campaigns and public outreach events, capacity building, digital education and cyber hygiene of the general public.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Each proposal under Lot 2 needs to address both priorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All actions should be&nbsp;<strong>gender sensitive and rights-based.<\/strong>&nbsp;The actions should address crosscutting issues related to gender-equality, Climate Change, Biodiversity, inclusion of people with disabilities and minority groups.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please download the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eeas.europa.eu\/sites\/default\/files\/documents\/2024\/Guidelines%20for%20grant%20applicant%20restricted_media%20and%20media%20literacy%20MD_FINAL.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Guidelines for grant applicant<\/a>&#8221; and visit the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/funding-tenders\/opportunities\/portal\/screen\/opportunities\/prospect-details\/180556PROSPECTSEN?keywords=180556&amp;tenders=false&amp;programmePart=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">specific grant page<\/a>&nbsp;for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deadline for submission of concept notes:&nbsp;<strong>03\/05\/2024 at 16.00 (Brussels date and time)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To help applicants familiarise themselves with the system before the online submission, an information session will be organised on 28 March 2024 in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Should you be interested in this session, please send an email by 25 March 2024 COB to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:delegation-moldova-operations@eeas.europa.eu\">delegation-moldova-operations@eeas.europa.eu<\/a>&nbsp;indicating: name, surname, nationality and email address of the persons who are going to participate as well as their organisation (max. two participants per organisation).
