These grants, available for amounts up to EUR 2,500, aim to enhance the resilience and effectiveness of media professionals, helping them to combat disinformation and provide reliable information to the public. Priority will be given to applicants from rural communities and those based outside Chisinau.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CONTEXT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The &#8216;Supporting Independent Media and Reliable Information in Moldova&#8217; project is implemented by ERIM in co-partnership with the Media Project Cu Sens and funded by the European Union. The project aims to support Moldovan journalists, bloggers and fact-checkers in receiving tailored capacity building support and developing their network thereby to increase production of quality content countering disinformation and providing reliable information of public interest.<br><br>ERIM is an international NGO based in Lyon, France. We work to strengthen and empower civil society and independent media, to promote human rights and to increase critical thinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PURPOSE OF THE CALL FOR APPLICATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Small Grants for Team Building and Legal Aid (10 grants)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligible activities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Team or individual retreats<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Psychological consultations (group or individual)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anti-burnout activities (yoga, hikes, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Legal consultations and assistance with lawyers or experts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligible costs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Equipment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consultancy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Training<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Salary costs are not eligible under this award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Grants amount:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minimum: EUR 2000<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maximum: EUR 2500<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The call will be open until the maximum award of 10 grants will be disbursed. The first round of applications are expected to be reviewed mid-September. The schedule for applications is available below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The applicant is an independent media or a journalist<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The applicant is a registered entity (for media outlets)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The applicant has been active for at least 2 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The applicant has not received any financial resources from any political party from Moldova and abroad<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Through its work, the applicant provides quality information to the public and prompts democratic values in Moldova<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants based outside Chisinau and from rural communities are particularly welcome. Political or religious organisations are not eligible, therefore their applications will not be considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SELECTION CRITERIA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The need for legal support \/ anti-burnout support is well explained (15 points)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A clear action plan with sustainable results and impact for the organisation (20 points)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Relevant and realistic budget (with a clear cost description) (15 points)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Priority will be given to organisations who have not previously received support from ERIM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HOW TO APPLY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications should be submitted by email, to simr_grants@erim.ngo, with the subject line: SIMR: Team Building \u0219i Asisten\u021b\u0103 juridic\u0103 in Romanian, English, or Russian.\u00a0 If you complete the application form in Ro\/Ru, please add a translation in English and send it to us with the form (Google translate is accepted). Thank you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the first selection round, applications should be submitted by\u00a020 September 2024. Applications will be assessed on a rolling basis. authorities in Moldova (for media organisations)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the organisation has recently (in the last 2 years) undergone an organisational capacity assessment, the applicant is invited to submit the document\/report\/results (not-mandatory)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Freelance journalists are asked to provide at least one reference letter from Editor-in-Chief \/ Manager of the Media they
