Solidarity Fund PL in Moldova, with financial support from the European Union, has launched a grant program worth nearly MDL 6.5 million for municipal enterprises responsible for public utility services.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative aims to strengthen the ability of small and medium-sized cities to respond effectively to natural disasters, climate change, and other risks. The provided equipment will support swift interventions in cases of heavy snowfall, torrential rain, household flooding, fallen trees, and blocked roads, helping to protect local communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The funding program offers two types of equipment packages. The first includes <strong>six sets of medium-power tractors (50\u201390 HP) with snow ploughs<\/strong>, essential for winter road maintenance. The second package provides equipment to mitigate the effects of storms, floods, and other natural disasters, including <strong>six sets of tipping trailers, woodchippers, and water pumps<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of <strong>12 municipal enterprises<\/strong> will receive funding, with each eligible to access up to MDL 766,000 worth of equipment under <strong>Package 1<\/strong> and up to <strong>MDL 312,000<\/strong> under <strong>Package 2<\/strong>.
