K. Belitchenko&#8221;. He had a constructive dialogue with the schools\u2019 management and teaching staff.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>reinstitution of the original premises<\/strong> of the \u201cEvrika\u201d theoretical lyceum remains essential to creating a proper learning environment and addressing long-standing educational challenges. <strong>Education <\/strong>is key to building a brighter European future together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During his visit to one of the biggest enterprises in the region, Moldovan Metallurgical Plant (MMZ), the EU Ambassador J\u0101nis Ma\u017eeiks saw first-hand that operations remain halted due to the ongoing energy crisis, especially after Russia\u2019s attacks on Ukraine\u2019s energy infrastructure in November 2024. Together with his colleagues, he also met with the management to discuss the company\u2019s ability to adapt and operate in a liberalized energy market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EU Ambassador and the EU Delegation\u2019s team had a meeting with the de facto leader, Vadim Kranoselski, in Tiraspol. Topics of discussion were the energy and economic crisis, the Transnistrian settlement process as well as the human rights situation in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The visit in the region also highlighted the <strong>EU\u2019s emergency aid package of 20 million EUR<\/strong> for the left bank, provided at the beginning of February &#8211; tangible proof of the EU\u2019s commitment to supporting people in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A further <strong>60 million EUR<\/strong> remains available, but its disbursement depends on concrete progress in <strong>human rights, fundamental freedoms, and fair energy pricing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The European Union stands ready to support, but reforms must move forward.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The EU Ambassador and team from the EU Delegation visited the Transnistrian region, engaging with communities, schools, and enterprises, reaffirming the European Union\u2019s strong commitment to dialogue, stability, and peace.
