The fourth edition of the joint Internship Programme of the European Union and the Government of the Republic of Moldova \u2013 a unique opportunity for young people to get first-hand experience in the country\u2019s state institutions under the mentorship of EU High Level Advisers \u2013 was officially launched today in the State University of Moldova.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students, master students and recent graduates can spend two summer months working hand in hand with civil servants and EU experts, exploring what public administration means. Interns will receive a monthly allowance of 200Euro, funded by the European Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Programme was presented by the EU Ambassador J\u0101nis Ma\u017eeiks  and the State Secretary of the Government Ana Calinici, who shared their motivating career stories. The event was also marked by a festive signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Government, the Rectors\u2019 Council and the Eu-funded project \u2018Moldova is Europe \u2013 Support for EU Integration\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to become an intern within the Programme, aspiring candidates submit a CV and motivation letter to stagii@eu4moldova.eu<\/a> by 20 May. The short-listed candidates who meet the requirements will be invited to an interview, where members of the Selection Committee (representatives of the Government, the EU Delegation to Moldova and EU High Level Advisers) will select the most knowledgeable and motivated young people. At the end of the Internship, graduates will receive certificates attesting their participation in the programme. Moreover, a graduate can benefit from the opportunity of getting employed in the civil service without competition and without testing period: for this, s\/he should undergo one more month of internship and apply for a position in the same subdivision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Previous editions of the Programme proved to be highly successful, already bringing a number of young people to the country\u2019s public administration: graduates of the Programme are now employees of the State Chancellery, the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Labour, Social Protection and Family and other entities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The joint EU \u2013 Republic of Moldova Internship Programme runs in parallel with the Government\u2019s programme of paid internships in state institutions \u2013 both initiatives being presented today to over 100 students of the State University, as well as yesterday to about 100 students of the Cahul State University. The promotional campaign of the internship programmes will continue in May in the Balti State University, the Academy of Economic Studies, the Free Independent University of Moldova, as well as online for students from diaspora. Besides, a stand promoting the internship opportunities will be displayed during the Europe Day celebration in the European Village in Chisinau.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
