As part of this initiative, all families with children under the age of five\u2014including those living abroad\u2014will receive a one-time payment of 1,500 lei. Additionally, families caring for children or adults with disabilities will receive 5,000 lei.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The payments will be made by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, together with the National Social Insurance House (CNAS), starting on May 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The financial support includes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1,500 lei for each child under five, benefiting over 200,000 children;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5,000 lei for families caring for children with disabilities, supporting approximately 11,000 families;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5,000 lei for families with adults who have severe disabilities, assisting over 20,000 people.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Funds will be distributed through social cards. If families do not have one, the money will be transferred to active bank cards held by family members. If no active card is available, payments can be collected at local post offices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For citizens living abroad, authorities will identify active bank cards issued in Moldova. If no such card is available, the funds can be picked up at post offices until the end of the year. If this is not possible, a family member can collect the money on their behalf with a notarized authorization issued at a Moldovan consulate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information or inquiries, please contact the National Social Insurance House via the hotline at 022 28 61 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The European Union is also supporting Moldovan citizens through the \u201cHelp at the Meter\u201d program, which provides monthly compensation for electricity bills until the end of 2025.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The European Union, in partnership with the Government of the Republic of Moldova, is providing financial support to families across the country.
