The awareness campaign on internship opportunities for youth continued today in Chi\u0219in\u0103u, bringing together over 200 students at the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM). The young people learned about the EU-Government two-months programme, as well as about the Government-run three-months programme: participation conditions, scholarships, benefits and the long-term career prospects these opportunities can unlock within the Moldovan civil service.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event featured motivational career stories from Moldovan and EU officials. Corina Ajder, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Labour and Social Protection, shared her personal story and strong motivation that determined her to leave a successful career abroad and to return to Moldova to pursue a career in the public service. Magdalena M\u00fcller-Uri, Head of the Cooperation Section at the EU Delegation, spoke about the value of internships as a bridge between education and employment and reaffirmed the EU\u2019s support for young professionals, looking to contribute to Moldova\u2019s ambitious reform agenda and to the ongoing EU integration process. Alexandru S\u0103ndulescu, EU High Level Adviser on Energy, stressed the importance of attracting new talents into the public administration, to help modernize critical sectors like energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding a student-perspective to the event were testimonials from alumni of the programme\u2019s previous years. First edition graduate, Gheorghe Ciocoi, now working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, shared how the internship helped him pursue his dream of building a career in diplomacy. Diana Ursu, a former intern of the second edition, currently employed in the Parliament’s Secretariat, described her unique experience, encouraging her peers to seize the opportunity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants were invited to apply for the 4th edition of the joint Internship Programme, which offers two months of practical work within public institutions together with civil servants and under the guidance of EU experts. Interns will receive a monthly scholarship of 200 euros, funded by the European Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
