The event was organized by the Independent Analytical Center \u201cExpert-Grup\u201d in partnership with IPRE, AO \u201cInstitutum Virtutes Civilis\u201d and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation Moldova.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The discussion focused on Moldova\u2019s key economic priorities for the coming years, exploring the content and implementation pathways of the Growth Plan, along with the challenges and responsibilities that lie with public institutions and civil society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As context, we recall that on 9 May in Chi\u0219in\u0103u, the Agreement on the Economic Growth Plan for the Republic of Moldova was signed, amounting to \u20ac1.9 billion. The document was signed by the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, Marta Kos, and Moldova\u2019s Prime Minister, Dorin Recean. Launched by the European Commission in October 2024, the Growth Plan is the most comprehensive EU initiative of financial and technical support for Moldova, built around three main pillars:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>increasing financial assistance over the next three years through a dedicated Reform and Growth Facility for Moldova;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>enhancing Moldova\u2019s access to the EU Single Market;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>supporting critical socio-economic and structural reforms in the country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Opening the event, Julda Kielyte, Team Leader for Inclusive and Competitive Growth at the EU Delegation to Moldova, stated:<br><strong>\u201cThe signing of the Growth Facility Agreement during Commissioner Kos\u2019s official visit marks a significant milestone. This agreement will enable EU funds to act as a catalyst for attracting additional investments from international financial institutions and the private sector \u2014 thus strengthening Moldova\u2019s transition towards a resilient, competitive, and inclusive economy. The Growth Plan is a core pillar of the EU\u2019s enlargement and neighbourhood strategy. It aims to accelerate Moldova\u2019s economic growth, foster socio-economic convergence with the EU, and support the implementation of key structural reforms.
