{"id":135504,"date":"2025-07-01T11:06:16","date_gmt":"2025-07-01T08:06:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/?p=135504"},"modified":"2026-02-02T12:53:57","modified_gmt":"2026-02-02T10:53:57","slug":"juris-lab-for-research-and-education-on-human-rights-opened-with-eu-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/en\/juris-lab-for-research-and-education-on-human-rights-opened-with-eu-support\/","title":{"rendered":"Juris Lab for Research and Education on Human Rights opened with EU support"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Global Campus of Human Rights (GC) with its Caucasus hub coordinated by Yerevan State University (YSU) and in partnership with Moldova State University (MSU), celebrate the ending of the project \u201cDevelopment of Climate Justice and Human Rights Education at the Moldova State University\u201d, made possible thanks to the support of the European Union.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the last two academic years, the project aimed at enhancing MSU\u2019s preparedness<br>to contribute to the <strong>promotion and protection of human rights, environmental rights and climate justice<\/strong> by producing and disseminating critical knowledge for policy change, in the context of the <strong>EU enlargement<\/strong>. This was achieved through innovative curriculum and teaching tools development, teachers training in theoretical and practical skills, as well as the refurbishment of teaching spaces and outreach events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main outcome of the projects is the setting up of the JURIS Lab, a new&nbsp;i<strong>nterdisciplinary&nbsp;unit of the&nbsp; university<\/strong>, specialized on sustainability, climate justice and human rights&nbsp;education between the <strong>Faculties of Law and Biology<\/strong>, which flagship activity is an <strong>annual<\/strong> <strong>cross-regional spring school<\/strong>, now in its second edition,bringing together lecturers and students from Moldova and&nbsp;countries of the EU enlargement Eastward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The JURIS Lab is an ambitious format that aims to act as growing i<strong>ncubator for innovative pedagogy and research<\/strong>, with the final goal of contributing to a sustainable green transition in Moldova and the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is the result of the cooperation between GC and MSU initiated in early 2023\u00a0under the backing of the government of the Republic of Moldova and the Delegation of the European Union.
