On September 12, the EU-funded project \u201cMoldova is Europe \u2013 Support for EU Integration\u201d,<\/em>\u00a0the Ministry of Finance, the State Tax Service and the Customs Service, in partnership with the publication \u2018Monitorul Fiscal\u2019 organized a workshop dedicated to improving communication on national tax and customs legislation harmonized with EU directives, which brought together more than 100 officials and experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop gathered representatives of partner institutions, practitioners, and authors of the publication, who explored how messages about the alignment of national tax and customs legislation with the EU acquis can be accurately and consistently formulated and delivered, while identifying the most effective communication channels. The agenda included conclusions and recommendations arising from bilateral screenings and negotiation position papers, reforms implemented under Chapter 16 (Taxation) and Chapter 29 (Customs Union), along with strategies and tools to ensure proper communication of the progress made and of the upcoming actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By equipping officials with the skills to clearly and consistently convey information on ongoing tax and customs reforms, the workshop contributed to enhancing public understanding, fostering trust in institutional actions, and ensuring that citizens are properly informed on Moldova\u2019s alignment to EU directives, thereby supporting a more informed and participatory approach to the country\u2019s European integration process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
