About 100 aspiring entrepreneurs from the Central regions of Moldova participated in a three-day training course for start-up entrepreneurs held in Orhei, from 10 to 12 February. The event was organized by the EU-funded project \u201cMoldova is Europe \u2013 Support for EU Integration,\u201d in partnership with the Ministry of Finance, the State Tax Service, the Customs Service, and the publication Monitorul Fiscal FISC.md.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants from Orhei, Telenesti, Criuleni, Singerei, and Rezina took part in interactive, hands-on sessions that walked them through the key steps of launching and managing a business. They learned how to register a company, navigate public procurement procedures, comply with tax and social contribution requirements, and handle import and export operations. The training also addressed everyday challenges entrepreneurs face, including labor legislation, workplace safety, local and environmental taxes, financial management, accounting, and effective business communication. Experts from the Ministry of Finance, the Customs Service, the State Tax Service, and experienced accountants provided participants with practical, hands-on guidance. Certificates of completion were awarded to all participants, highlighting their engagement and commitment to developing their entrepreneurial skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training in Orhei marked the fifth round of the Start-Up Entrepreneurs Programme, launched in 2025, which has already trained over 450 participants nationwide. It is part of a series of sessions taking place across six regions of Moldova in 2026, continuing the EU\u2019s support for strengthening local entrepreneurship and developing a robust business environment. Upcoming training sessions will be held in C\u0103u\u0219eni, Edine\u021b, Ungheni, and Comrat between April and August 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
