The activity was organized within&nbsp; the EU-funded project \u201cEU4Borders Security \u2013 Moldova.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The activity aimed to strengthen the requirements for the development of a whistleblower&nbsp; protection system within the organization, as well as measures to prevent and combat active&nbsp; corruption.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the four days, participants from the two groups analyzed international experience and&nbsp; best practices of the protection of integrity whistleblowers, effective mechanisms for reporting&nbsp; irregularities, and tools for preventing active corruption within GIBP. Discussions also focused&nbsp; on strengthening internal reporting mechanisms for corruption-related violations, promoting a&nbsp; zero-tolerance approach to corruption, and sharing best practices from EU countries on&nbsp; whistleblower protection.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout the training, officers worked in groups to gain practical experience in addressing&nbsp; various risk situations, professional responsibilities, and the role of each individual in&nbsp; strengthening an environment free from corrupt practices, as well as methods and strategies for&nbsp; preventing and combating corruption.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By participating in this training, the GIBP reaffirms its commitment to promoting integrity,&nbsp; professionalism, and responsibility\u2014essential elements for strengthening public trust and&nbsp; ensuring the effective functioning of a secure border management system.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>About \u201cEU4Borders Security \u2013 Moldova\u201d:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project \u201cEU4Borders Security \u2013 Moldova\u201d is funded by the European Union and&nbsp; implemented by the Central Project Management Agency (CPVA) from Lithuania, the&nbsp; Solidarity Fund PL and the International Organization for Migration.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project has a duration of 36 months, starting in June 2025.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More information about the project is available at: www.EU4Moldova.eu, HERE.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Representatives of the General Inspectorate of Border Police (GIBP) participated in the training&nbsp; session \u201cProtection of whistleblowers and preventive measures against active corruption in the&nbsp; Ministry of Affairs (MIA) and the GIBP: international experience, practice, and lessons&nbsp; learned\u201d, held on 16\u201317 and 19\u201320 March 2026, Chi\u0219in\u0103u.
