Key stakeholders of the sector \u2013 about 50 representatives of museums, regional culture divisions, Ministry of Culture, Customs Service, General Police Inspectorate representatives \u2013 took part in the public discussions organized in the framework of the EU- and Denmark-funded project \u2018Moldova is Europe \u2013 Support for EU Integration\u2019, to share views on the concept paper  of the \u201cIntegrated Programme for the protection of movable cultural heritage, 2026 – 2030\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The discussions started by presenting international best practices and cooperation mechanism in this regard, stressing the importance of aligning to international standards in the process of protection and valorizing movable cultural heritage, whereas in the second part of the meeting participants worked in small groups to formulate proposals and recommendations contributing to the development of an efficient normative framework adapted to the realities of the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The importance of preserving movable cultural goods as part of a nation\u2019s heritage, ensuring clear regulations of their registry and circulation, was underlined during the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The joint discussion served as a platform to identify most efficient solutions and ensure that the developed normative framework responds to the sector\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
