{"id":39390,"date":"2020-07-27T06:53:20","date_gmt":"2020-07-27T06:53:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/?p=39390"},"modified":"2022-02-01T01:55:08","modified_gmt":"2022-01-31T23:55:08","slug":"eu4energy-shares-tips-on-being-more-energy-efficient-and-reducing-energy-costs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/en\/eu4energy-shares-tips-on-being-more-energy-efficient-and-reducing-energy-costs\/","title":{"rendered":"EU4Energy shares tips on being more energy efficient and reducing energy costs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strengthening Institutions &amp; good governance<\/li>\n<li>Governance, rule of law and human rights<\/li>\n<li>Connectivity, energy efficiency, environment and climate change<\/li>\n<li>Energy &amp; energy efficiency<\/li>\n<li>Environment &amp; climate change<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span>The \u2018EU4Energy Governance\u2019 project is running a campaign to increase knowledge and understanding of the project\u2019s work, and raise awareness about the benefits of energy reforms in the six Eastern partner countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span>As part of this campaign, the project uses the hashtag <strong>#EnergyReforms4Citizens<\/strong> on social media, to share easy tips on energy efficiency that people can follow at home and in the workplace. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span>Here are five tips on how to cut energy costs in the summer: <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><strong>Tip 1: Use water wisely<\/strong><br \/>\nWhether it\u2019s watering your plants or taking more showers, water use goes up in the summer. Keep outdoor watering costs down by only watering plants in the early morning or at dusk. This way the water won\u2019t evaporate in the summer heat.<br \/>\n<strong>Tip 2: <\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Close the curtains<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen it\u2019s really hot during the day, don\u2019t turn up the air conditioning. Close your curtains or blinds instead. This will keep your home cool.<br \/>\n<strong>Tip 3: Keep your fridge chilled<\/strong><br \/>\nCheck the door seal of your fridge to ensure it\u2019s not letting out cool air. And make sure your fridge is always full \u2013 that way there\u2019s less air space for it to cool.<br \/>\n<strong>Tip 4: Unplug<\/strong><br \/>\nKeep your electronics from using energy by unplugging your chargers, TV, and other electronics when you\u2019re not using them.<br \/>\n<strong>Tip 5: Eat healthy<\/strong><br \/>\nProcessed foods require more energy and water.
