{"id":61139,"date":"2021-05-13T09:14:38","date_gmt":"2021-05-13T09:14:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/?p=61139"},"modified":"2022-02-01T01:54:59","modified_gmt":"2022-01-31T23:54:59","slug":"moldova-to-develop-customs-data-exchange-system-with-eu-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/en\/moldova-to-develop-customs-data-exchange-system-with-eu-support\/","title":{"rendered":"Moldova to develop customs data exchange system with EU support"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strengthening Institutions &amp; good governance<\/li>\n<li>Security, cross-border cooperation &amp; border management<\/li>\n<li>Connectivity, energy efficiency, environment and climate change<\/li>\n<li>Transport<\/li>\n<li>Mobility &amp; people-to-people contacts<\/li>\n<li>Research &amp; Innovation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A customs data exchange system, aiming at mutual recognition of authorised economic operators in Moldova and the EU, is to be developed in Moldova with the support of the European Union.<\/p>\n<p>A working meeting to mark the start of activities was held on 26 April, attended by senior officials from the Customs Service and the European Union Delegation.<\/p>\n<p>The new system will speed up the customs clearance process, reducing border delays and facilitating trade, while strengthening security, including preventing and combating smuggling and other customs fraud. A new data exchange system between the Moldovan customs authorities and EU Member States will bring the country to the final stage before the signing of the Mutual Recognition Agreement.<\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span>The Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) of the Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) between Moldova and the EU is a commitment within the framework of the EU-Moldova\/DCFTA Association Agreement, which provides that the parties shall determine mutual recognition of trade partnership programmes and customs controls, including equivalent trade
