In the context of Europe Day, a group of volunteers from the Cantemir urged citizens to replace the plastic bag with the cotton bag. For the action with the slogan “Give up on plastic, choose Eco!”, young people chose a Sunday and went to the market region of Cantemir. Volunteers approached people who had a plastic bag and offered to put all the products in the cotton bag, which they donated. All the participants in the \u201eexperiment\u201d gladly gave up the plastic bag, after young people explained to them that the use of the cotton bag \/ peat is a sign of concern for the environment and a way to reduce plastic pollution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The activity was part of the EU-funded project \u201cStrengthening local capacities to implement the strategy for sustainable energy in the town Cantemir (CCLISED).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
