A group of 7 local young people from the State University \u201cB. P. Hasdeu\u201d in Cahul have designed an innovative platform, which will initially be launched locally, and then will be expanded throughout the country. Due to an extensive course of technological entrepreneurship, within the programme \u201cStartup Academy UNI\u201d, they created \u201cLucruDAD\u201d \u2013 a platform that enables improving the theoretical knowledge, practical skills of potential jobseekers and get the desired job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are last year students and it was necessary to look for a place for internship. The idea of the platform arose from the need to find companies that offer internships. As there is only one university in Cahul, it was not feasible to limit the platform only to this aspect, so we developed it. The courses of the university curriculum include aspects that are no longer up-to-date, but in the technological entrepreneurship course we studied new trends, modern methods and relevant examples of companies that have grown applying these methods. That determined us to come up with ideas and make sure they were implemented.<\/em>\u201d, noted Iuliana Mandru, one of the participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The young people, who enrolled in the technological entrepreneurship course, leant theoretical aspects together with specialized mentors, enjoyed practical support from trackers who monitored and familiarized them with the tools needed to identify the consumer, the market and the business model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAcquiring technological entrepreneurship right from university benches is one of our priorities.<\/em> <\/em><\/strong>Through this initiative, we set out to provide young people in Cahul with the necessary knowledge and opportunity to develop a home-based business.<\/em> <\/em><\/strong>During the programme, students went, step by step, through the business path from idea to application, and generated effective solutions. This is one of the goals of \u2018EU4Moldova: Startup City Cahul\u2019 \u2013 to contribute to the creation of innovation-based businesses, creation of local ICT workforce and regional economic development.\u201d<\/em>, stated Corina Andronic, Project Manager of \u201cEU4Moldova: Startup City Cahul\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cStartup Academy UNI\u201d \u2013 an entrepreneurial development programme implemented in several universities in the country, ran for 13 weeks, including 12 modules focused on business creation, identification, evaluation and finalization of business opportunities and development of a business plan attractive to potential investors.
