{"id":90241,"date":"2022-05-09T14:26:00","date_gmt":"2022-05-09T11:26:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/?p=90241"},"modified":"2022-05-10T11:49:44","modified_gmt":"2022-05-10T08:49:44","slug":"84-volunteers-trained-in-the-field-of-homecare-with-eu-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/en\/84-volunteers-trained-in-the-field-of-homecare-with-eu-support\/","title":{"rendered":"84 volunteers trained in the field of homecare with EU support"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In the framework of the EU-funded project \u201cImprovement of medico-social care services for people with long-term care needs on both sides of the Dniester River\u201d under the General EU Confidence Building Measures Programme, the German Development Cooperation through GIZ implemented a 5-days &#8220;Training of Trainers\u201d (hereinafter &#8211; ToT) course in the field of <strong><em>Homecare<\/em><\/strong> &#8211; home-based primary medico-social services for people with long-term care needs. 84 volunteers (representatives of CSOs, unemployed, former social workers, individuals and domestic caregivers) from 7 districts of the transnistrian region participated to this course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Though practiced on the right riverside since 2006, the homecare know-how represents a novelty practice on the left riverbank. The transfer of gained experience over the years, has been duly ensured by health professionals and practitioners from Chisinau and Balti mobilised by the Association HOMECARE from Chisinau. The logistical and organisational support was proficiently provided by the NGO &#8220;Association of Health and Sports&#8221; from Tiraspol. Thus, a long-term efficient cooperation between CSOs on both riversides has been practically achieved in the health area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"905\" height=\"679\" src=\"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image036.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-89774\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image036.jpg 905w, https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image036-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image036-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 905px) 100vw, 905px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The ToT curricula, including for domestic caregivers were elaborated and approved on both riversides by competent authorities. A Handbook on Homecare has been developed and duly used in trainings and disseminated to domestic caregivers. The Handbook ensures harmonization of local policies with EU trends in the development of health and social care systems. Representing a novelty on both riversides, the Handbook is used as a \u2018pillow\u2019 guide for trainers and domestic caregivers, enjoying an increasing demand, including among profile professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image037-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-89779\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image037-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image037-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image037-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image037-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image037.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon completion of the ToT course, the local trainers commenced a training campaign of domestic caregivers and provision of homecare services under the initial ad-hoc assistance and supervision of 9 highly qualified medical staff mobilised for this purpose.
