{"id":92378,"date":"2022-07-08T13:26:26","date_gmt":"2022-07-08T10:26:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/?p=92378"},"modified":"2022-07-08T13:28:49","modified_gmt":"2022-07-08T10:28:49","slug":"eu-funded-project-strengthening-supervision-corporate-governance-and-risk-management-in-the-financial-sector-informed-the-visitors-of-the-european-village-in-chisinau-about-project-s-main-activities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/en\/eu-funded-project-strengthening-supervision-corporate-governance-and-risk-management-in-the-financial-sector-informed-the-visitors-of-the-european-village-in-chisinau-about-project-s-main-activities\/","title":{"rendered":"EU funded project \u201cStrengthening supervision, corporate governance and risk management in the financial sector\u201d informed the visitors of the European Village in Chisinau about project\u2019s main activities"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On the occasion of Europe Day 2022, under the overarching theme of \u201cSolidarity for Peace\u201d, representatives of the EU financed twinning project team \u201cStrengthening supervision, corporate governance and risk management in the financial sector\u201d alongside the representatives of the beneficiary institutions &#8211; the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) and the National Commission for the Financial Markets (NCFM), have participated in the traditional event \u201cEuropean Village\u201d held on 14 May 2022, in Chisinau in the Main National Assembly Square.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was an opportunity to present to the public at large the objectives of the twinning project and the technical assistance provided to NBM and NCFM in order to further develop and reform the financial sector of the Republic of Moldova according to EU best practices aiming to contribute to the efficient implementation of the Moldova-EU Association Agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1010\" height=\"756\" src=\"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/image119.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-92374\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/image119.jpg 1010w, https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/image119-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/image119-768x575.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1010px) 100vw, 1010px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0The objective of this project is to strengthen supervision, corporate governance and risk management in the financial sector and is implemented by a consortium formed by Banca Na\u021bional\u0103 a Rom\u00e2niei (BNR), De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) and Lietuvos bankas (LB) with the support of the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) and National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) from Romania.
