On Friday, 20 May 2022, Europe Caf\u00e9 hosted the opening event of the exhibition “Vienna – Chisinau – Odessa 2018-2022” – a collection of works by Paulus Adelsgruber, lecturer at the Austrian Agency for Education and Internationalization, historian, traveler and amateur photographer.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event, organized by the Austrian Embassy in Chisinau, offered photography enthusiasts access to an exclusive gallery of documentary images from Moldovan villages and towns, as well as landscapes from all regions of the country, including ATU Gagauzia and the Transnistrian region.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

On 25 May, the visitors of Europe Caf\u00e9 had the opportunity to see the film “Mariupolis” offered by the Lithuanian Embassy in Moldova. The Documentary pictured the life of the citizens of Mariupol in the Donetsk region in 2015, when the Russian aggression started in Donbas extended to this port city of at the Sea of Azov.<\/p>\n

The documentary was offered in memory of the director of this film, the Lithuanian Mantas Kvedaravicius, killed on 2 April 2022 in Mariupol by Russian forces, during the unprovoked invasion of Russia in Ukraine, while working on another documentary about OeAD Mariupol.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Moldarte.eu -the platform

On 24 May, the first online platform to promote cultural players, MoldArte.eu, was launched in the Republic of Moldova at Europe Caf\u00e9. The platform will promote national artists at national and foreign levels, will ensure connection with international artists and will create a communication space for people of culture without frontiers.<\/p>\n

The MoldArte project is financed by the European Union National Institute for Culture through the European Spaces of Culture Project and is organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute in cooperation with the Goethe-Institute Bucharest, the Embassy of Austria in the Republic of Moldova and the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

14 social enterprises from both banks of the Dniester River received grants of EUR35.000 each from the European Union in order to provide more aid to vulnerable groups.<\/p>\n

The grants will support the associations in creation of about 80 jobs for disadvantaged people, and over 700 people will benefit from free services or products.<\/p>\n

The grants were awarded under the “Civil society contributes to the inclusive and sustainable economic development of the country” project, implemented by the Eastern European Foundation, funded by the European Union and co-financed by Sweden.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
