{"id":98451,"date":"2022-05-01T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-04-30T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/towards-green-transformation-of-the-republic-of-moldova-state-of-play-in-2021-2\/"},"modified":"2022-10-31T18:02:05","modified_gmt":"2022-10-31T16:02:05","slug":"towards-green-transformation-of-the-republic-of-moldova-state-of-play-in-2021-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/en\/towards-green-transformation-of-the-republic-of-moldova-state-of-play-in-2021-2\/","title":{"rendered":"TOWARDS GREEN TRANSFORMATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA: STATE OF PLAY IN 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>EU4Environment Action, funded by the European Union, launched in February 2022 the report \u201cTowards Green Transformation of the Republic of Moldova: State of Play in 2021\u201d.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This report presents a snapshot of the country\u2019s progress towards green economy over 2015-20, using OECD green growth indicators. This is also a first attempt to evaluate the implementation of the National Programme on the Promotion of Green Economy in the Republic of Moldova and its Action Plan 2018-20, based on green growth indicators. In addition, the report will support preparation of the new action plan on green economy for 2022-27 and of Environmental Strategy 2030.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministries of Environment and Economy welcomed the launch of the updated Report on Green Growth Indicators and the list of new indicators presented. Being updated, this list serves as a basis for assessing the current situation regarding the promotion of the green economy in our country and will be a new starting point for developing the measures of the green transition, including performance indicators for the Programme on the promotion of Green Economy for 2022-2027.<\/p>\n<p>The list of new indicators needed to assess change &#8211; such as green jobs, green services and goods, green investment, etc. &#8211; will also be used for decision-making or argumentation on certain sectors of the country\u2019s socio-economic development at the current stage.<\/p>\n<p>The digital platform to monitor the progress of the Republic of Moldova towards a green economy, based on Green Growth Indicators, was developed and officially presented to the public. This is the first kind of web portal in the Eastern Partnership region.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-7608 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/n-i_ed_ro_page_98.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"394\" height=\"339\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>This platform will help the Moldovan government: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u25ca Track progress towards a green economy <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u25ca Inform the decision-making <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u25ca Demonstrate accountability <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u25ca Raise public awareness of the links between economic growth and the environment <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u25ca Compare progress between countries.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The platform is available in <u><a href=\"https:\/\/mediu.gov.md\/indicatori\/index.html\">Romanian<\/a> <\/u>and <u><a href=\"https:\/\/mediu.gov.md\/indicatori\/indexen.html\">English<\/a> <\/u>languages on the website of the Ministry of Environment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":29,"featured_media":98457,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"topics":[],"class_list":["post-98451","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized"],"acf":{"event_start_date":null,"event_end_date":null},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
