People are part of the change and come up with ideas to transform the centres of these two cities. Their recommendations will be considered in the modernization of the centres of Cahul and Ungheni municipalities, which will start this year with the financial assistance of the European Union under the \u201cEU4Moldova: Focal Regions\u201d Programme, funded by the EU and implemented by the UNDP and UNICEF Moldova.<\/p>\n<p>Residents of Cahul and Ungheni municipalities, as well as people from other regions, are invited to vote, <strong>during 4 \u2013 15 June, <\/strong>for the ideas of renovating the centres of the localities. To do that, they need to access the web pages <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eu4cahul.md\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.eu4cahul.md<\/a> (for Cahul) and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eu4ungheni.md\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.eu4ungheni.md<\/a> (for Ungheni). For each locality, 10 ideas are included for voting. These ideas are the ones that obtained the highest evaluation score from a specialized jury within the contest \u201cEU for Cahul\/Ungheni. Your idea for a European municipality\u201d. The contest took place between January and March. More than 300 ideas for modernizing these two cities were presented.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/n-3rd_ed_ro_page_08.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-2886\" src=\"https:\/\/eu4moldova.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/n-3rd_ed_ro_page_08-1024x684.jpg\" alt=\"Oamenii voteaz\u0103 ideile de modernizare a ora\u0219elor \" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Each participant can vote once a day, a maximum of 3 ideas out of 10, from one IP address. The authors of three ideas that will accumulate the most votes will get awards.<\/p>\n<p>The contest \u201cEU for Cahul\/Ungheni. Your idea for a European municipality\u201d is part of a complex initiative of consultation and participation of people in the development processes of the regions, carried out by the \u201cEU4Moldova: Focal Regions\u201d Programme.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cEU4Moldova: Focal Regions\u201d Programme (2019-2025) supports smart, inclusive, and sustainable socio-economic development in Cahul and Ungheni regions, in order to ensure a better quality of life for citizens. The programme has a total budget of 23 million EURO.
