<\/p>\nOn 21 May 2022, the Delegation of the European Union in the Republic of Moldova, together with the EU Member States Embassies, organised the European Village in Edine\u021b \u2013 the largest regional event organised on the occasion of Europe Day 2022 in the northern region of the Republic of Moldova \u2013 promoting the culture and values of the European Union, as well as highlighting the assistance provided by the European Union and its Member States, under Team Europe approach, for the benefit of the citizens across the north region and in Edine\u021b Municipality, in particular. The event was organised in the context of the Europe Day 2022, under the overarching theme of SOLIDARITY FOR PEACE.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
On 21 May 2022, the European Village opened its gates in Edine\u021b, in the main Independence Square. The one-day event was launched by the Ambassador of the European Union, J\u0101nis Ma\u017eeiks, the Director of the North Regional Development Agency and the Mayor of Edine\u021b Municipality, in the company of the national and regional mass media from the Republic of Moldova and local citizens.<\/p>\n
The European Village in Edine\u021b show-cased the assistance of the European Union thought the local EU funded projects implemented in the Edine\u021b Municipality and regional EU funded projects, rolled out in the north region of the country. The Village hosted beneficiaries of EU assistance from the north of the country, who came to present their products and communicate about the tangible results, with the support of the European Union.<\/p>\n

Throughout the day, the European Village in Edine\u021b comprised numerous activities organised for children and youth.<\/p>\n
The fair in Edine\u021b, displayed exhibitions of equipment and vehicles purchased for the Border Police and for Edine\u021b Municipality with EU support, etc<\/p>\n

The life in the Village was vivid thanks to the performance of local musicians, singers and dancers, who performed for the visitors.<\/p>\n

The European Village in Edine\u021b was visited by the Ambassador of the European Union, J\u0101nis Ma\u017eeiks, the President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu, EU Member States representatives, and local authorities.<\/p>\n
