Более 25% действий Программы по продвижению «зеленой» экономики в Республике Молдова на 2018-2020 гг. будут внедрены при поддержке EU4Environment

In the report on the implementation of the Programme on the promotion of green economy in the Republic of Moldova for the years 2018-2020, prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment, according to the Governmental Decision nr. 160/2018, the following major results were indicated: 12 actions out of 55 actions were completely implemented, other 43 are in process – their implementation started in 2019, but need continuity, additional actions and support.

Among the major results could be mentioned: continuity of the activities of the Inter-Ministerial Working Group on the promotion of sustainable development and green economy for the coordination for GE promotion in the country; integration of environmental issues, of green economy promotion and climate change adaptation in the sectorial policy documents and relevant legislation; development of energy efficiency indicators; development of the Program on the Greening of SMEs, which was approved by the Government decision 592/2019; development and promotion of regulations on the gradual elimination of the plastic bags; Greening of Technical Vocational Education for a Green Economy; organization of the XII Edition of the International Conference of SMEs – Green Moldova. With the support offered within EU4Environment and the contribution of MARDE, MEI, ODIMM, AEE, MECR, GIZ, other governmental agencies, NGOs, the results could be achieved.

The EU4Environment action of the European Union aims at helping the six EaP countries preserve their natural capital and increase people’s environmental well-being, by supporting environment-related action, demonstrating and unlocking opportunities for greener growth, and setting mechanisms to better manage environmental risks and impacts. EU contribution: EUR 19.5 million.
