Пилотный проект Единец заканчивает свою двухлетнюю деятельность
The final conference of the project „Edinet – Economic Growth Pole in North region of the Republic of Moldova”, funded by the European Union within the Initiative „Mayors for Economic Growth” (M4EG), took place on December 4, 2019 in the municipality of Edinet.
The scope of the event was to inform the main beneficiaries and stakeholders about the results of the project, as well as identifying new opportunities and initiatives that will continue to develop the business support facilities created within the project.
The municipality of Edinet received from the European Union a grant of 579 thousand euros for the implementation of the project with a duration of 24 months.
It aimed to improve local capacities and business infrastructure to stimulate the creation of new businesses in the municipality of Edinet, with an impact on inclusive economic growth. As a result, a new industrial hall was built within the Edinet Industrial Park, a business incubator and a Business Hub were created – a platform for cooperation and business support that offers facilities for capacity building of young people.
The event brought together about 40 participants: representatives of the Delegation of the European Union to Moldova, city hall of Edinet, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, as well as other representatives of the business environment in the northern region and civil society. They underlined the importance of continuing this fruitful collaboration with other economic initiatives, which will amplify the achieved results and will offer continuous support to the city of Edinet in becoming a Growth Economic Pole. Also, the development partners of the municipality Edinet have discussed the future projects and the economic areas to be developed in the municipality.
During the conference was launched the new Industrial Hall of 1400 m2, which offers production spaces and business support conditions for the future investors and residents of the Industrial Park, as well as for the entrepreneurial community in the municipality of Edinet.
