CEPOL hands over national LEEd e-learning platform to the Ministry of Internal Affairs

27/10/2025

CEPOL has handed over the tenancy of its Law Enforcement Education Platform (LEEd) to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova.

The event, organised under the EU4Security Moldova project, took place at the Academy “Ștefan cel Mare” in Chișinău on 17 October, marking an important step towards strengthening Moldova’s national law enforcement training system. The handover was marked by the attendance of Florentin Dicu, the project manager of EU4Security Moldova, who formally transferred the online learning environment to Mr Vladislav Cojuhari, Secretary General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on behalf of the Moldovan authorities.

The LEEd platform provides a modern digital environment for training and professional development. It offers access to online courses, interactive modules, and webinars tailored to Moldova’s operational and institutional needs. The development of this LEEd tenancy was the result of close cooperation between CEPOL and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Together, the project team and national counterparts defined the learning environment’s structure, built the technical infrastructure, and adapted the content and functionalities to reflect national training requirements. The rollout followed a two-fold approach: administrators and end-users first completed online train-the-trainer sessions on platform management, followed by onsite workshops where best practices for course creation, learner monitoring, and quality assurance were demonstrated and applied.

With the handover completed, the Ministry of Internal Affairs now manages its own LEEd tenancy. Three national administrators will oversee its maintenance and future development, while CEPOL will continue to provide technical assistance and guidance to ensure the platform’s long-term sustainability and integration into the national training system. This milestone reflects CEPOL’s continued commitment to supporting partner countries in developing sustainable, high-quality law enforcement training systems.
