EU Talks with Marta Koss: The EU Commissioner for Enlargement Answers Questions from Moldovan Citizens
On May 10–11, 2025, a special edition of EU Talks took place with the participation of EU High Representative and Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Koss, during her official visit to the Republic of Moldova.
Over two days, the Commissioner travelled from north to south across the country, engaging in open dialogue with citizens and answering a wide range of questions and concerns. The discussions focused on European investments in Moldova, the country’s EU accession path, funding opportunities through EU programmes, and prospects for local development. The public events brought together young people, civil society representatives, and mayors from various regions.

At the EU Talks in Bălți, more than 100 young people from northern Moldova addressed questions to the EU representative about the accession process, reforms, opportunities for youth, and how they can actively contribute to Moldova’s European path.
At the State University of Cahul, Marta Koss also engaged with young people and civil society from the southern region. The Commissioner highlighted the importance of a strong voice from youth and NGOs, stressing that their active involvement is essential for building a democratic and prosperous future. This exchange of ideas was a valuable opportunity to better understand the needs of the region.
