EU Commissioner Glenn Micallef in Dialogue with Young People at EU Talks #YouthForEurope
On the first day of the new school year, September 1st, around 60 young people took part in an EU Talks #YouthForEurope session with Glenn Micallef, European Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport.
The event took place in an informal, interactive setting at Valea Morilor Park. We spoke “the language of youth,” with a DJ set in the background, bicycles promoting a healthy lifestyle, and a lively, upbeat atmosphere.

The session opened with welcoming remarks, followed by a public dialogue and a Q&A session with the Commissioner, where young participants asked questions about:
- youth education and intergenerational fairness;
- career opportunities in sports, culture and the arts;
- access to EU programmes dedicated to young people.
Participants had the chance to share their perspectives, while the Commissioner underlined the importance of civic engagement and active participation in European programmes that foster personal and professional development.

To conclude, Commissioner Glenn Micallef met with Nicolae Juravschi, President of the National Olympic Committee, as well as international and European champions who proudly represented the Republic of Moldova in recent sporting competitions.
The Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova continues to stand by young people, bringing Europe closer through dialogue, opportunities and support for ideas that transform communities.
