Established at the initiative of the Women MPs Platform in Parliament, this celebration highlights the importance of fathers’ involvement in raising and caring for children, and promotes equal roles between women and men, mothers and fathers, both in the family and in society.

Today, the Council adopted a decision to integrate Moldova into the so-called ‘Roam like at home area’ as from 1 January 2026. A similar decision for Ukraine was adopted on 14 July.
