The awareness raising campaign on internship opportunities for young people reaches the North of the country
On 13 May, almost 100 students of the ‘Alecu Russo’ Balti State University gathered for the third event of the information campaign on the Internship Programme, eager to find out more about the opportunities and participation conditions in the two available programmes – one financed by the European Union and the other one, by the national budget.
Within the presentation event moderated by Irina Cruceru, Programme Manager at the EU Delegation, inspiring career insights were shared by Parascovia Ignat, Head of the Communication and Training Directorate in the Office for European Integration within the State Chancellery; Katerina Fatsea, Enlargement Coordinator at the EU Delegation and Dragoș Ciuparu, EU High Level Adviser on Reforms Coordination. Graduates of the previous editions – Iulia Mândru, now Head of the International Relations and External Assistance Service at the Ministry of Energy and Oxana Tonconog, currently an employee of the State Chancellery, recounted their recent journey from interns to public servants, encouraging young people to embrace this opportunity.
Students, master students and recent graduates can spend two summer months working alongside civil servants and EU experts, gaining firsthand experience in public administration. Interns will receive a monthly allowance of 200 Euro, funded by the European Union. To become an intern under the 4th edition of the joint Internship Programme of the European Union and the Moldovan Government, candidates will submit a CV and a motivation letter to stagii@eu4moldova.eu by 20 May.
Upon completion of the Internship, graduates will be awarded certificates confirming their participation in the Programme. Furthermore, graduates may enjoy employment in the civil service without a competition and without a testing period, provided they complete an additional one-month internship and apply for a position within the same subdivision.
The promotional campaign of the internship programmes will continue on 14 May in the capital at the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM), on 15 May at the Free International University of Moldova (ULIM) and will conclude on 16 May with an online session for students from diaspora and those unable to attend in person.
