Three teams of grandparents and grandchildren from Moldova will travel to Paris, Athens and Prague

The “EU & My Grandparents” contest has come to an end! The three winning teams of the national contest “EU & My Grandparents” have each won a trip to a city from Europe:

“Moștenitorii Europei” from Sîngerei – a trip to Paris
“EuroFetele din sat” from Brînza, Cahul – a trip to Athens
“EU4Family” from Zăicana, Criuleni – a trip to Prague

The contest “EU & My Grandparents” took place from 19 to 21 August in three regions of the country: north (Răuțel, Fălești district), south (Văleni, Cahul district) and centre (Stăuceni town). The event brought together dozens of teams, each consisting of two grandparents and two grandchildren from across the country, who demonstrated their knowledge of Europe’s history and culture, creativity, and team spirit.

This was the first edition of the “EU & My Grandparents” contest. It was organised by the Bureau for European Integration, in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, the Ministry of Education and Research, the Ministry of Culture, the Association of Intellectual Games of Moldova and the National Youth Agency, with the support of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova, the Embassies of France, Greece and the Czech Republic in the Republic of Moldova, and UNFPA Moldova.
