On May 28, a mural created by artist Cristina Gratii was unveiled at “Dragoș Vodă” Theoretical High School in Stăuceni. The artwork stands as a manifesto for promoting gender equality and for preventing and eliminating violence against women and girls.

The initiative was inspired by an idea developed during the “Thinkathon” idea marathon to foster gender equality and contribute to the prevention of violence against women and girls. The Young European Ambassadors team brought the idea to life, inspiring students, teachers, and community members alike.

Following the unveiling, 11th-grade students participate in an open discussion on equality, stereotypes, and ways to become agents of change.

This initiative was carried out by the Young European Ambassadors in collaboration with UN Women Moldova and the International Centre “La Strada Moldova,” with financial support from Sweden (Embassy of Sweden in Chisinau) and BC Moldindconbank S.A., as part of the “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence” campaign.
