Young European Ambassadors discuss global warming
How can we save the world from global warming? This is the question the Young European Ambassadors sought to answer during an interactive session of the educational board game Keep Cool, held at Europe Café.
Over the course of a few hours, participants had fun and connected with like-minded peers. During the game, they explored the issue of global warming by taking on the roles of leaders of major global blocs such as the USA and its allies, Europe, developing countries, newly industrialized countries, the former USSR, and OPEC.
The Keep Cool board game allowed participants to make strategic decisions in global politics and economics, trying to save the planet without compromising their region’s economy. Players invested in innovation, purchased green or polluting factories, negotiated loans and insurance, and formed alliances to achieve common goals.
The session had a strong educational component, raising awareness about the risks of climate change and the importance of international cooperation.
