#YouthforEurope: Inspirational discussions on innovative education and Moldova’s European future with Roxana Mînzatu
Over 200 young people from across the country – high school students engaged in STEAM studies, students from the Technical University of Moldova, Erasmus+ scholars, and members of Euro Clubs – participated in a dialogue session with Roxana Mînzatu, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission, and Dan Perciun, Minister of Education and Research.

The event took place as part of the #TineriPentruEuropa platform, which fosters open dialogue between young people and Moldovan and European officials, focusing on topics such as innovation in education, European integration, gender equality in scientific fields, and access to EU programmes like Erasmus+. The event also featured a fair showcasing EU-funded international mobility projects in the Technical University Park, along with an exhibition titled “Empowering Girls through Science”. The exhibition aimed to encourage girls to explore careers in STEAM by integrating innovation and gender perspectives into education, connecting schools with universities and the professional sector, and creating real learning and mentorship opportunities for young women in Moldova.

Ms Mînzatu’s official visit to the Republic of Moldova (9–10 June) focused on social rights, education, and employment. She co-chairs the first meeting of the High-Level Moldova–EU Dialogue in these areas and held meetings with President Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Dorin Recean, and other members of the Government. The agenda also included visits to Criuleni and Zubrești, localities benefiting from EU support.
