ANCD, AGEPI and HORIZON 2020: ” Innovation and creativity for business development in Edinet”

The 2nd networking event of the Cooperation and Business Support Platform (PCSA) was held on February 14, 2019, within the Edinet Business HUB. Along with the PCSA members (representatives of the National Agency for Research and Development (ANCD), National Contact Points of the Horizon 2020 Program, the State Agency for Intellectual Property (AGEPI)), it were discussed the importance and benefits of innovation and creative spirit in business development, the need to protect inventions, existing opportunities to attract external funds for the development of an innovation-based business.

The event brought together 27 young entrepreneurs from Edinet, who gained new knowledge in the field of innovation and technology transfer, which would guarantee their competitiveness, as well as the initiation and development of new national and international collaborations. Thus, participants have become familiar with innovation policies and programs, research and technological development, good practices in the implementation of innovation, the role of intellectual property in the development of an innovative business. They also learned about existing networks that offer more opportunities for business expansion and internationalization, such as EEN, which facilitates the establishment of new B2B cooperation at European level, provide advice on European legislation, standards and property rights, information and practical advice on regulations and available opportunities within European market. The event was finished with a practical workshop on the use of patent information contained in free access databases for further business development.

Note: This event was organized within the project „Edineţ – Economic Growth Pole in North region of the Republic of Moldova” funded by the European Union. The PCSA was formed of local, regional, and national actors, in order to support the business environment in Edinet, which will act as a catalyst for the integrated local economy developed with the involvement of young people.
