People are voting for modernization ideas

The centres of Cahul and Ungheni municipalities will be renovated with the financial assistance of the European Union. People are part of the change and come up with ideas to transform the centres of these two cities. Their recommendations will be considered in the modernization of the centres of Cahul and Ungheni municipalities, which will start this year with the financial assistance of the European Union under the “EU4Moldova: Focal Regions” Programme, funded by the EU and implemented by the UNDP and UNICEF Moldova.

Residents of Cahul and Ungheni municipalities, as well as people from other regions, are invited to vote, during 4 – 15 June, for the ideas of renovating the centres of the localities. To do that, they need to access the web pages www.eu4cahul.md (for Cahul) and www.eu4ungheni.md (for Ungheni). For each locality, 10 ideas are included for voting. These ideas are the ones that obtained the highest evaluation score from a specialized jury within the contest “EU for Cahul/Ungheni. Your idea for a European municipality”. The contest took place between January and March. More than 300 ideas for modernizing these two cities were presented.
