In June 2020, the EU4Digital eCommerce team developed a baseline report on cross-border electronic commerce in the EU.
The report provides a benchmark to assess the state of play of e-commerce in the EU’s Eastern partner countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. It also serves as a basis for recommendations on how to harmonise e-commerce between the Eastern partner countries and the EU.
The baseline report explores how e-commerce operates in the EU in three areas: legal framework, standards and ecosystem.
