Семинар по модели определения степеней сложности судебных дел в Республике Молдова
On 06 August 2020, in the framework of the Projects “Support to further strengthening the efficiency and quality of the judicial system in the Republic of Moldova” (“CEPEJ Project”), which is part of the Partnership of the Council of Europe and the European Union for Good Governance in the Eastern Partnership countries 2019-2021 (PGG II), “Strengthen access to justice in Latvia by encouraging mediation and legal aid services, as well as supporting the development of judicial policies and a higher quality of court management” a workshop on the case-weighting model in the Republic of Moldova was organized.
The event took place in the format of a videoconference with the participation of the representatives of the Moldovan judicial system and their colleagues from Latvia, in order to inform Latvian colleagues about good European practices in view of development of a national case-weighting system, as well as to have an exchange of views on the aspects and functionalities of the Moldovan system of case-weighting.
Judges Andrei Ojoga and Victor Micu made a detailed presentation on the development and evolution in time of the case-weighting system (amendments introduced in the first years of testing) in Moldova and of various aspects related to manner of calculation of complexity of cases, as well as the role of the Integrated Case Management System.
