“7 years of implementation of DCFTA in Moldova” event

”7 years of implementation of DCFTA in the Republic of Moldova: results achieved and way forward” event was organized on January 20, 2022 at Europe Café. The event aimed to increase awareness among citizens and businesses from the Republic of Moldova on the benefits of the AA/DCFTA related reforms and the status of implementation of AA/DCFTA and the reforms carried out by the Government of the Republic of Moldova that have had a positive impact on the development of the entrepreneurial sector in the Republic of Moldova. The results and priorities in legal harmonization were presented by the Ministry of Economy on the horizontal implementation of the Agreement and the National Agency for Food Safety on the chapter related to the sanitary and phytosanitary measures.

At the same time, the event presented the benefits for the private sector through an intervention on the EU support offered to the SMEs in the context of the AA/DCFTA implementation, presentation of an electronic brochure that contains information on the main benefits of DCFTA  for the private sector in the Republic of Moldova  with the illustration of the best examples/success stories of the large and small and medium enterprises benefited out of the  DCFTA related reforms. Also, several companies were invited to the event to present their experience and success stories.

Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA) signed between the European Union and the Republic of Moldova in 2014 gives local producers the opportunity to identify and access new markets for their products and services.
