Exchange of experience with sustainable European Cities

Four mayors from the signatory towns of the European initiative, Covenant of Mayors for Energy and Climate – Cimișlia, Anenii Noi, Ceadâr-Lunga, and Ungheni – visited cities in Poland to learn from local best practices.

This trip is part of the City2City program of the Covenant of Mayors, which aims to facilitate the exchange of good practices and experiences in the field of sustainable development and renewable energy between municipalities.

The City2City program represents a valuable platform for collaboration and mutual learning among cities and communities from different countries. Through this program, representatives of local administrations have the opportunity to explore innovative solutions and effective strategies for environmental protection, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and promoting the use of renewable energy.

The Moldovan delegation had the opportunity to visit exemplary projects in the municipalities of Bielsko-Biała and Cieszyn in Poland. This experience will enable the signatories to bring valuable ideas and knowledge to our communities for the implementation of sustainable initiatives and policies.
