What does a liveable city mean? Have you ever wondered what makes Chisinau a city you want to live in? On June 12, at 6:30 PM, we invite you to the Europe Café, to join a discussion with the architect Osamu Okamura, organised by Alianța Biciclete Chișinău, A. O. Salvați Chișinăul / Save Chișinău and the Czech Center (Czech Center Bucharest).

At the event we will talk about current urban planning trends and issues, art in public space and public participation in spatial planning. If you are interested in urban processes and want to learn to read the city in a different way, based on senses and observations, but at the same time developing your knowledge in the basics of urbanism, join us on June 12 at the Europe Café.

Osamu Okamura is the architect and program director for reSITE’s international festival and conference on more livable cities, a A10 Coop correspondent, and a lecturer at ARCHIP / Architectural Institute in Prague. He was nominated the 2014 New Europe 100 outstanding challenger from Central and Eastern Europe by Res Publica with Google and the Visegrad Fund in cooperation with Financial Times. From 2005 to 2012, Osamu was the Editor-in-Chief of the professional architecture magazine ERA21. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture CTU Prague and Academy of Fine Arts in Prague.
