Success stories of young Moldovans studying at EU universities
As the Republic of Moldova moves closer to the European Union, young Moldovans are gaining increasing opportunities to study at prestigious European universities. Receiving the news of being accepted to a dream university in a European city is an exciting milestone for many, but with that excitement come pressing questions:
- How do you find accommodation?
- What kind of health insurance do you need?
- What is the minimum monthly budget for an international student?
Studying abroad is an incredible opportunity for growth. However, at the start, the experience can feel like solving a complex equation with many unknowns. Having access to support and guidance from those who’ve already navigated this journey is invaluable.
On 8 January, at Europe Café, the Young European Ambassadors hosted a discussion session with students currently studying abroad. Five Moldovan students pursuing their studies in Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, and Denmark shared their success stories, as well as the challenges they’ve faced on their academic journeys overseas.
The event highlighted the wealth of opportunities provided by EU education systems and offered insights into adapting to new cultures, making friends, and maintaining a balance between studies and personal life.
We are proud to support young Moldovans pursuing their ambitions beyond national borders and encourage them to return home after graduation to apply the invaluable knowledge and skills gained at European universities.
