EU Invests in the Construction of an Agri-Food Market in Cahul

Cahul Municipality will have a modern agri-food market, a catalyst for investment and local economic development. Construction work for the regional agri-food market is in full swing.

Started in November last year, the project has reached the foundation stage. Subsequently, a 4,675 m² commercial space will be developed, intended for both local producers and investors interested in business development in the region.

This strategic intervention is made possible through the “EU4Moldova: Key Regions” program, funded by the European Union and implemented by UNDP and UNICEF, with completion scheduled for the end of 2025.

The €680,000 investment (including the contribution of Cahul Municipality Mayoralty) will directly enhance the region’s economic attractiveness, generating 170 new jobs and offering expanded opportunities for entrepreneurs and companies.
