EU officials visited the Theoretical High School “Ion Vatamanu” from Straseni

The Deputy Director-General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Katariná Mathernová and the Managing Director for Russia, Eastern partnership, Central Asia, Regional cooperation and OSCE Michael Siebert visited a EU -funded project in Straseni.

With Team Europe support, the “Ion Vatamanu” Theoretical Lyceum will benefit from increased energy efficiency facilities which will improve the study and work conditions for its students and teachers. Katariná Mathernová highlighted the European Union commitment to stay close to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova. During their visit, the EU officials met also with the representatives of local public authorities. The European Union along with his partner GIZ as Team Europe provides support to Moldovan citizens in the entire country.
