EU provides Moldova with laboratory diagnostic kits for testing infectious animal diseases

The supplies provided to the National Veterinary Reference Laboratory/Republican Centre for Veterinary Diagnostic will be used to detect Salmonella, as well as infectious animal diseases, such as Influenza A, African Swine Fever, Foot-and-mouth disease, blue tongue disease, bovine modular dermatosis, and Newcastle disease.

The laboratory diagnostic kits are provided to the Republic of Moldova to meet the testing demand for 2020-2022 period. The supplies are delivered in the context of the wider EU support to the National Food safety Agency (ANSA), contributing to the implementation of the Association Agreement and opening of new markets, including in the EU.

The EU-project ‘Supply of laboratory diagnostic kits to the National Reference Laboratory of the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA)’ supports the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) to implement national annual monitoring and surveillance programmes to detect and avoid spreading of contagious animal diseases and guarantee safety and quality of products for the consumer.
