European Film and Culture Festival 2022 – discovering the cultural heritage of the EU Member States

The European Film and Culture Festival is one of the highlights of the Europe Day events, organised yearly, as an initiative to promote a diversity and range of European films, concerts, festivals and other cultural events in the Republic of Moldova. The goal of this initiative is to increase the public’s knowledge and interest in European audio-visual works, including the audio-visual and cinematographic film heritage

In 2022, the European Film and Culture Festival took place in the second half of May, and show-cased content provided by EU Member States Embassies and affiliated cultural institutes. The Festival included 23 events, covering screening and broadcasting of films, concerts, art exhibitions and cultural events on TV, online and in several locations throughout the country. In addition, an event with a film director from Czech Republic was held.

The European Film and Culture Festival 2022 attracted high interest from the public, with over 200,000 views online and on TV.
