Policemen as drivers for positive change in the Republic of Moldova

10/04/2020

Starting with February 2020, 20 policemen have teamed up with judges, anticorruption officers, lawyers and prosecutors and have organized 58 legal education lessons in the Moldovan schools from Balti, Cahul, Comrat, Anenii Noi, Chisinau, Criuleni and Orhei.

These lessons were designed as practical tools for early prevention of corrupt behaviour, knowledge of rights and civil liberties, promoting the respect for the rule of law and encouraging a culture of lawfulness in the Republic of Moldova where its population abides by the law for a fair and just response to the needs of individuals and society as a whole.

This pilot educational program targets at least 1,000 high school students who will be trained and teaching education tools for justice and democracy, by using policemen and legal practitioners that are members of the National Network for Legal Education in Moldova – www.educatiejuridica.md

The pilot program aims to reach at least 1000 students who will assimilate the democratic values and acquire an integral behaviour and a civic attitude in the spirit of law and the rule of law.
