A new sewage system is being built in the municipality of Ungheni with the EU support

A sewage network on a stretch of more than 2 370 meters is under construction in a sector from the centre of the town, that has so far lacked such services. 131 households and 11 economic operators will benefit from the modern wastewater disposal network. The works are in full swing. More than 70 beneficiaries have already been connected to the urban wastewater collection network. In total, more than 14 000 people will have access to the public sewage system due to European Union financial assistance under the EU4Moldova: focal regions program.

The pumping station will digitally send the information to the central dispatch, providing live data on the amount of wastewater, network damage, voltage deviations, disconnection of electricity, etc. EU investment: 4 799 000 lei.
