EU for Rural Moldova information campaign: success stories and achievements supported by the European Union
Within the information campaign “EU for Rural Moldova” starting with September 2021 and until the end of October, a series of information events were organised about the financial assistance projects of the European Union and success stories.
The visits were carried out in the localities that benefited from EU assistance, namely: Micleușeni, Răzeni, Zorile, Cornești, Sipoteni, Ciorești, Ochiul Alb, Chetrosu, Sauca, Corpaci, Sărata Veche, Bădiceni, Alexandru Ioan Cuza, Balabanul and Svetlîi.
Local residents had the opportunity to learn about the improvements in their communities thanks to the assistance provided by the European Union, namely increasing the competitiveness of the agri-food sector, modernising the supply and sanitation infrastructure, energy efficiency of public buildings, support for small and medium enterprises, encouraging modern education.
The information events were attended by representatives and beneficiaries of EU projects, Local Action Groups and local beneficiaries, as well as organisations implementing EU-funded projects. They discussed the directions of assistance and funding opportunities offered by Team Europe, in order to modernise the rural areas of the country.
The visits are part of the “EU for Rural Moldova” information campaign, carried out within the European Union-funded project “Communication and visibility of EU assistance under the 2016 Annual Action Program.” The campaign aimed to reflect the changes made in rural areas with the support of the European Union and the its Member States.
